Climate warming and environmental issues are currently highly relevant, and it is clear that they need to be addressed. However, significant anxiety and fear about the future related to the loss of nature have been observed in young people. Although they hear a lot about the problems, they lack solution-oriented skills that would help them address their concerns.

The aim of this thesis is to prevent this anxiety and provide a safe and practical way for the new generation to learn about environmental protection. Talking about complex topics should not be expressed as prohibition but should provide children with inspiration and excitement about how they themselves can contribute to nature conservation.

As a result, the development of the Rohemeeter application was completed, which brings together science-based teaching materials for schools to enhance biodiversity. The materials provide inspiration and encouragement for nature science teachers to conduct project-based learning, which allows for simultaneous contributions to nature conservation while helping students understand their role in preserving biodiversity.
