Touch has an impact. Be it soft and pleasant, or harsh and startling. It can bring joy or cause pain. Bodies carry their history, every touch is preserved one way or another. We gather within ourselves visible and invisible imprints. While one is suffering, the other didn’t even notice the impact. Even the best intentions can scrape. What happens at the impact of two materials? Even after the contact has faded, a trace of it is left lingering, perhaps only distinguishable by the shadow.
