In between is an experimental material research work on glassblowing that focuses on the creation of space between two layers of glass and then unravelling it. Traditionally, when glass is blown, layers of glass are collected from the glassblowing furnace and they join. However, as a result of my glass blowing experiments, air remained between the two layers and a new, interlayered, experimental space was created. However, there was no further control over the inner layer – I had closed the access, I could only shape the top layer. How to open it, how to get to the first layer again? With my work, I propose playful ways to approach the space between the two layers.
