During my master’s thesis, I designed a ribbed sound absorption panel system inspired by Estonian boulders and the wavy pattern of sheep wool mats resembling the waves of the Baltic Sea. By adopting a circular economy approach, the materials used in the panel were analyzed, focusing on their natural origins and biodegradability. I emphasized the value of sheep wool and its capability to absorb echoes. The design process was based on both producer- and user-centric approaches to develop the best solutions for both parties. I discussed market needs and issues with interior architects, which are documented in my thesis.
